After Midnight was started as a passion project by our bassist. Having played in several bands, another one was always on his mind. While many factors delayed the start of After Midnight, it all came together when Richard invited Max to play guitar for his project. After Midnight's beginning go back further than the formation of the band. AM was originally the name of an older project that Richard was invited to while he was attending college. At the time of the original project, AM had no meaning. Following AM becoming disbanded, Richard held onto the name for a future project, as his former band mates went seperate directions; one quit playing in the band scene, while the whereabouts of the other aren't completely known.

As the AM project between Richard and Max developed, they found more people to bring into the mix. Drummer Chance was the next to step up into the band, having not had many opportunities to play in recent years, he immediately jumped on the offer. Following Chance's addition to the group, Corbin was welcomed into the band as the second guitarist.

The band wouldn't be complete without their support crew. V owns the studio space the band uses to rehearse and record. She's allowed this entire operation to be possible. The bandmembers all come from far and wide, with varying schedules; V's hospitality has made all of the work possible when a mutual space was desperately needed.
